Your mind controls everything & YOU control your mind

In my transition from a job I hated to pursuing my life purpose of helping people heal, I had to make a decision. In any project we take on, the most important thing is to make a decision. In the amazing book I'm reading by Frank Suarez about metabolism (I'll be making separate blog posts in the upcoming weeks with detailed information that I believe everyone should have access to), it says, "Successes or failures come from some action and all actions are born from a decision."

Anything we try to achieve in life requires effort for results. If there are no results, with many consecutive failures, it can lead a person to a state of emotional apathy. From this, we allow justification phrases like, "I’m happy outside of work, it's fine," "this is what I got," or "this is the way I am, and this is the way I'll always be." That was the mindset I had while working for a law firm until I had no other option but to get myself out of that hole. No one else had the power to do so other than myself. I decided to make a decision. I chose to leave my comfort zone and take the more "risky" route. This developed a sense of excitement in me that I didn't know was possible within the professional aspect of life. I am now excited to start studying and cannot wait to begin working.

While writing and researching for this post, I came across this beautiful video from Kelly Groe talking about the power of your mind and the importance of mindset and intentions in your everyday life.

Since your mind controls everything and you control your mind, this means you have the power. As the book explains, the first factor to consider is the problem itself. The first logical step in resolving any problem is by understanding it. Once you do, you won't be working blindly anymore, and things will start making sense.

Whatever you are working towards in life, you need a clear goal of action. This way, you have a clear purpose. Along the path towards your goal, you will encounter moments of difficulty, and only your perseverance will make you prevail. It has to be a firm and final decision that you make to achieve what you set out to do.

The information above is paraphrased from the book "The Power of Your Metabolism". It was something that caught my attention, and I wanted to share it with you. I hope it was useful in one way or another. Now, let's enjoy the week with love and purpose!
